Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented associate to join our team. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals interested in pursuing a career in the wealth management industry.

The role begins with a focus on administrative and client service responsibilities to establish a strong foundation in firm operations. The position transitions into a rotational training program across three core areas of our business: Financial Planning, Investment Management, and Tax Preparation/Planning.

This is a hands-on opportunity to gain exposure to all facets of a modern advisory practice and develop the skills necessary to advance into a specialized or financial advisory role within our firm.

Key Responsibilities

Foundational Administrative and Client Service

  • Interacting with brokerage firm Charles Schwab & Co. to handle all client service-related issues.  Completing and following up with new accounts, transfers, address changes, beneficiary designations, etc. 

  • Greet and assist clients, both in person and by phone/email.

  • Maintain accurate client records in our CRM and document management systems.

  • Effectively communicating with clients, prospects and the financial advisory team.

  • Support day-to-day office operations.

Beacon’s Rotational Training Program

The purpose of Beacon’s Rotational Training Program is to provide individuals interested in the financial planning profession with comprehensive exposure to all aspects of a financial advisory firm. Over the course of approximately six months per rotation, participants will gain a strong understanding of the critical role advisors play in delivering holistic financial advice. By the end of the program, you will also have greater clarity about which areas of financial advising align most closely with your interests and career goals. Here are key components of each rotation:

Financial Planning Rotation:

  • Assist in preparing financial plans and projections

  • Gather and organize client financial data

  • Participate in planning meetings and observe client interactions

Investment Rotation:

  • Support portfolio monitoring and reporting

  • Assist with trading, rebalancing, and account maintenance tasks

  • Research investment products and market trends

Tax Rotation:

  • Help organize client tax documents and data

  • Assist with tax preparation and planning under supervision

  • Learn how tax strategy integrates with overall financial planning

 You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Professional attitude and appearance

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • A positive attitude, professional demeanor, and willingness to learn

  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Interest in pursuing professional certifications is a plus (CFP®, CPA, or similar)

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, eMoney (financial planning), Proseries (tax) or Tamarac (portfolio accounting) would be a huge bonus, but not required
