Are You Living Your Best Life?
My friends often ask how my daughter—now a sophomore in college—is doing. My answer is always the same: “She’s living her best life!”
For her, that means enjoying the college experience: socializing, learning, and embracing new adventures with enthusiasm.
It makes me wonder—when someone asks how you are doing, how do you usually respond? More importantly, do you feel like you’re truly living your best life? Do you feel as though you are thriving?
This is an important question, one worth reflecting on. Of course, we all have days when we’re not at our best, but I’m talking about the bigger picture.
What would it take for you to feel like you are living fully and with purpose?
Research consistently shows that people who are intentional about things like exercising, staying socially connected, and engaging in group activities are more likely to feel positive and fulfilled.
After working with clients for over 30 years, I’ve seen firsthand that many are living their best lives—and I’ve noticed some common threads among them:
They stay engaged with family. Whether it’s visiting children and grandchildren, or celebrating birthdays and holidays, they make family time a priority.
They are active in groups. From church communities to hiking clubs, book clubs, or volunteer work, they seek connection and belonging.
They pursue hobbies with passion. Golf, sewing, kayaking, fishing, crafting—whatever the activity, they make time for it.
They always have something to look forward to. It may be a museum visit, a concert, or even planning a trip—big or small, these events add excitement and anticipation.
Living your best life doesn’t mean every day is perfect. It means being intentional about how you spend your time, nurturing your relationships, and finding joy in both everyday moments and special occasions.
At Beacon Financial Strategies, our hope is that you are truly living your best life—and that the guidance and planning we provide play a meaningful role in helping you achieve and sustain this goal. Go live your best life!!
